My Post-Holiday Beauty To-Do List

My Post-Holiday Beauty To-Do List

I always come back from holiday happy, sun-kissed and slightly falling apart at the seams. One nail somehow survives while the rest are broken, three hair extensions are hanging on for dear life, and my pores are completely clogged from SPF, sweat and long days in the sun. So, before getting back to real life, a little post-holiday beauty reset is very much needed. Here’s my beauty to-do list.

Hair:

First things first: the extensions come out. I always start with a proper hair treatment where my hairdresser applies a nourishing hair mask and wraps my hair in a steaming hot towel - honestly, the best feeling after weeks of sun and salt water. Then we trim the damaged ends before putting in a fresh set of extensions from BHBD. I don’t colour my hair, so for me it’s all about getting it healthy, glossy and fresh again.

Lashlift:

Next up: a lash lift at By Therese Hedgren. I love anything that’s high maintenance to stay low maintenance, and this is exactly that.

Facial:

After a summer of SPF, sweat, sun and probably not cleansing as well as I should, my skin is always in need of a serious reset. Maria deep cleanses my skin and then creates a little cocktail of exactly what it needs at that moment. I basically let her take over - she knows my skin better than I do.

Time with me, for me:

Lastly, I’m back to cinnamon buns and iced coffee at Stora Bageriet. I’ve been so tired since coming back from holiday, and I know you’re supposed to come home feeling energised, but I actually think travelling, constantly being social, and then going bam - straight back into routines can be exhausting.

So I’ve been letting myself sleep a little later than I usually do and taking long, slow morning walks by myself. Bisou eye patches on, coffee in hand, nowhere to rush. Just a little extra time with me, for me.

August Rituals:

All summer I’ve been reaching for Le Sheet Mask de Nuit. With sun, SPF, heat, travel and long days outside, my skin has needed less “glow” and more repair.

The Nuit mask is all about restoring what summer takes out of my skin: D-Phytogen supports firmness and elasticity, Aginon deeply replenishes moisture, while Allantoin + Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate help calm, balance and support the skin barrier.

After a summer of loving the Nuit mask, I’m now using Le Sheet Mask de Jour more as we head into fall.

Why? My skin needs a different kind of reset. Rebornic focuses on brightening and evening the skin tone, Aginon keeps it deeply hydrated, while Allantoin helps keep everything calm. Basically, bringing back that fresh, clear, lit-from-within glow before heading into fall.

Summer = repair & restore.
Back to reality = hydrate & glow. 💋
