I wish I could say I’ve always been one of those effortlessly glowing girls who wakes up looking dewy and hydrated like a skincare commercial.
Absolutely not.
For the longest time, my skin and I were in a very toxic relationship. Random breakouts, irritated skin, trying every “miracle” product on TikTok at 2am - I’ve truly been through it all. My bathroom looked like a chemistry lab, and my bank account suffered heavily in the name of “clear skin.”
There were moments where I genuinely felt like my skin decided my mood for the day. If my skin looked bad? I suddenly didn’t want to go anywhere, see anyone, or take a single photo. Dramatic? Maybe. Real? Very.
But somewhere between the 12-step routines, the overpriced creams, and the emotional support pimple patches, I realized something: skincare should actually feel good.
Not stressful. Not complicated. Not like a full-time job.
That’s honestly how bisou was born.
I became obsessed with sheet masks because they felt like a little reset button. Ten minutes to relax, feel cute, romanticize life a bit, and actually take care of my skin instead of fighting with it. It became less about “fixing” myself and more about creating rituals that made me feel confident, soft, and put together — even on bad skin days.
So I created bisou for the girls like me:
The girls who have cried over breakouts.
The girls who have spent way too much money at Sephora.
The girls who just want skincare that feels fun, pretty, effective, and comforting all at once.
bisou isn’t about perfection. It’s about feeling good in your skin - while wearing the cutest sheet mask possible.
And honestly? If younger me could see this now, she’d probably be shocked… and immediately ask for free products.
My skin at its worst:
